Overview

This 5-day workshop will help participants develop problem-solving, process improvement, and facilitator skills.

Course Objective:

‍Participants will work in a team of four to seven people to develop problem-solving, process improvement, and facilitator skills.

After this 5-day workshop, they will be able to implement solutions that result in lower costs, faster delivery, higher quality, and increased safety of operations. The skills learned in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training apply most to team leads, supervisors, managers, and executives.

Course Description:

‍There is a total of 30 workshop hours broken into 10 blocks of instruction, with certification testing taking place at the end of block 10. Participants should expect an additional 2-4 hours of study to be completed outside of workshop hours. A previous day content review will be accomplished at the beginning of days 2-5, and team presentations are required for course completion.

The workshop will culminate with a certification exam for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (requires 75% or better for passing marks).

Course Strategy:

Day 1: Introduction to Lean Six Sigma and team facilitation workshop

Day 2: Lean thinking, waste analysis, and problem-solving tools

Day 3: Process mapping and root cause analysis tools

Day 4: Lean Six Sigma countermeasures

Day 5: Action planning, team presentations, and certification testing
