Celebrate National Robotics Week with us as we delve into the world of robotics programs within the charming confines of a renovated historic schoolhouse nestled in downtown Reno. Prepare to be amazed as you step into the University of Nevada, Reno K-12 Robotics Center, housed within the historic Southside Studio. This facility, lovingly restored by the University since 2019, boasts state-of-the-art robotics infrastructure.

During your visit, witness a robotics scrimmage on an official FIRST Robotics Competition half field and gain insights into the innovative programs shaping the next generation of STEM enthusiasts. Student teams have dedicated build areas adjacent to the robotics field, fostering creativity and collaboration.

The vision of the K-12 Robotics Center is to spark curiosity in robotics, computer science, engineering, and automation among young learners. Through engaging extracurricular activities, students not only have fun but also pave the way for future academic and professional success.

Highlights of the tour include:

- Exploring the second floor of the renovated Southside Studio, an iconic schoolhouse.

- Learning about the design and testing of robots.

- Witnessing an exhilarating robotics scrimmage.

- Engaging with peers to promote creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.

- Getting involved and advocating for robotics programs.

- Enjoying a fun-filled experience for all ages.
