About the event

Are you looking to hire University of Nevada, Reno students in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) for part-time jobs, internships, or entry-level full-time positions? Or are you representing a graduate or professional program looking to connect with students interested in advanced STEM degrees? UNR's STEM Career and Internship Fair will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 11AM-2PM in the Joe Crowley Student Union Milt Glick Ballrooms. STEM Networking Mixer

We will also be hosting the STEM Networking Mixer immediately following the fair from 3–4:30 PM in the Joe Crowley Student Union. There is no additional cost to attend this event—employers registered for the career fair are welcome to join as an added opportunity to connect with students and faculty in a more informal setting.

Regular Registration Fee

For-Profit Company: $500
Start-Up Company: $200
Government (Public) and Non-Profit Sectors: $150
Graduate/Professional School: $150
UNR Campus Departments: $50

The regular registration period ends on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 by 5PM PDT.

Late Registration Fee

For-Profit Company: $525
Start-Up Company: $250
Government (Public) and Non-Profit Sectors: $175
Graduate/Professional School: $175
UNR Campus Departments: $60

Pending booth availability, the final day to register for the fair and be featured on the official program will be Thursday, October 1, 2026 by 5PM PDT.

Fair Sponsorship Opportunity

The Nevada Career Studio invites registered employers to be a fair sponsor. Limited spots are available at each sponsorship level. Sponsorship does not waive the fair registration fee.

Blue Sponsorship - $1,000

Prime table placement at career fair (student entrance)
Access to power for fair booth
Recognized as event sponsor on Handshake Career Fair landing page
Recognized as event sponsor on the University of Nevada, Reno’s Events Calendar

Silver Sponsorship - $2,000

Ship up to two (2) small packages of booth supplies in advance for the event
Promotional video provided by employer shown at the Career Fair Student Check-In Area

Platinum Sponsorship - $3,000

All benefits of Silver Sponsorship level
Up to 4 representatives can attend the STEM Networking Mixer
Organization formally recognized at the STEM Networking Mixer
Priority scheduling for a recruitment event around the career fair (E.g., Information Session, Pop-Up Tabling)

What's Included in General Registration

Attendance for 2 representatives
(1) 3 feet x 6 feet rectangular table with two (2) chairs
(1) 6 feet x 9 feet booth space to contain venue-provided table & chairs
Up to two (2) parking permits
Lunch and refreshments
Table signage with Handshake Fair Booth QR Code Check-In
Complimentary attendance for up to two (2) representatives at the STEM Networking Mixer

Additional representatives may be added for $40 each (maximum of two) during the regular registration period. Additional representatives during the late registration period will be $50. The maximum number of representatives for one booth is four. Booth sharing or splitting is not permitted.

Access to Power for Fair Booth

If you are requesting access to power for your fair booth, an additional fee will apply. Spots are limited; it will be a first-come, first-served basis. This can be selected under “Add-On Items” when registering.
