Why the NIST MEP Impact Survey Makes a Difference

by Manufacture Nevada

What Is the NIST MEP Impact Survey, and Why Does it Matter?

At Manufacture Nevada, our mission is to help Nevada manufacturers grow, complete, and succeed. One of the ways we measure our impact is through the NIST MEP Impact Survey, a national survey conducted on behalf of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP).

If you've worked with Manufacture Nevada either currently or previously, you may receive this survey after completing a project. While it only takes a few minutes to complete, your feedback plays an extremely important role in demonstrating the value of services we provide and helps strengthen manufacturing overall across Nevada.

Measuring Real Results

The NIST MEP Survey collects feedback from manufacturers that have partnered with MEP centers across the country. This survey measures the real business outcomes resulting from those partnerships, including:

  • Increased or retained sales
  • Cost savings
  • New investments
  • Jobs created or retained
  • Productivity improvements
  • Other operational and business impacts

These results help demonstrate how manufacturing support programs contribute to business growth and economic development at both the state and national levels.

Why Your Feedback Matters

Demonstrating Impact

Your survey responses help quantify the results of our work together. Whether your company improved productivity, expanded operations, reduced costs, or strengthened its workforce, your feedback provides measurable evidence of the value these services bring to Nevada manufacturers.

Improving Our Services

Every response helps us to better understand what is working well and where additional support may be beneficial. This information allows us to continuously improve our programs, ensuring we provide the resources, training, and expertise manufacturers need most.

Supporting Future Funding

The data collected through the NIST MEP Impact Survey helps demonstrate the return on investment of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) network. These results are shared with the state and federal stakeholders to help secure continued funding that allows us at Manufacture Nevada to provide affordable, high-impact services to manufacturers across the state of Nevada.

Strengthening Manufacturing in Nevada

Every completed survey contributes to a larger picture of manufacturing success across the state. By sharing your results, you're helping demonstrate the importance of investing in Nevada manufacturers and supporting programs that drive innovation, workforce development, operational excellence, and business growth.

How You Can Help

If you receive the NIST MEP Impact Survey, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete it. Your responses are confidential, and the information you provide helps us better serve manufacturers while showcasing the impact Nevada manufacturers have on our state's economy.

Your feedback doesn't just reflect your company's success, it also helps us at Manufacture Nevada continue to provide valuable resources, support future manufacturing initiatives, and ensures businesses across Nevada have access to expertise they need to grow and thrive.

Questions? Contact our Business Advising team today for guidance on how to complete the survey, as well as to learn more about how your feedback makes a difference.
